An SSP is a volunteer who works 1-1 with a person who is deaf-blind to facilitate communication, provide visual and auditory information, and act as a sighted guide for consumer-directed activities in the community. HKNC provides training for SSPs and welcomes qualified SSPs to volunteer with individuals who are deaf-blind in the greater NY area.
