Over the past 20 years, advances in technology have had a dramatic and positive impact on the lives of individuals who are deaf-blind. Access to the Internet, e-mail, instant messaging and videophones are just a few examples of information and communication that have become available in individuals' homes and work sites. Screen magnification programs, screen reading programs and refreshable braille displays allow users who are deaf with limited or no vision, or blind with little or no hearing, options for customizing accessibility on their own computers.

The Adaptive Technology Center provides comprehensive evaluation and training in computer programs and adaptive hardware and software. Professional training seminars in technology are offered through our National Training Team.
